This approach enables us to nurture a culture of collaboration, flexibility, and inclusivity.ABOUT THE ROLEWe are seeking an exceptional Account Director to be a key member of our digital practice. This role involves managing the digital operations for several of our top clients in the tech, health, and sustainability sectors, including Microsoft and the Forest Stewardship Council. The ideal candidate will also play a pivotal role in scaling our digital portfolio and expanding our presence in the UK and across the EMEA region.The ideal candidate will be an expert in paid social, with a deep understanding of how to plan, execute, and optimise campaigns across multiple platforms. They should be confident in developing paid media strategies, managing budgets, and using data-driven insights to maximise performance.They will also have experience working with organic social, ensuring a seamless integration of paid and owned tactics to drive engagement and deliver results.Successful candidates will have a knack for first-class client service, creative digital content development, and campaign planning across various social channels while running highly efficient accounts. They will have a strong understanding of B2B and B2C audiences and an interest in being part of a growing practice. Including:Partnering with Associate Director level on overall account planning, as well as taking the lead on planning project activationsGrowing the client relationship and providing strategic counselManaging the team’s progress on activities and reporting on client’s resultsBudget management and team resourcingDigital executionDeveloping social strategies for clients based on social best practice guidelines, market research, competitor analysis and audience insightsOwn and lead the agency’s paid social function – including scoping, executing, and managing paid media campaigns across all social channelsOverseeing social content creation inc. liaising with design and copywritersConducting and overseeing qualitative and quantitative social performance analyses, and providing actionable insights for continuous improvement, based on resultsProviding expert client and agency counsel on digital and social best practicesStaying updated with the latest social media trends and platform updates to inform strategiesNew businessConducting successful business development for both new and existing clients, including seeking opportunities from within own networkBuild social media and digital marketing strategies, and participate in pitches to effectively sell ideasAgency & technology practice leadershipInvolvement in the UK-wide AD peer groupOversight/integration between WE AM group and senior peer groups (WE Associate Directors and LT)Managing career development and performance of direct reportsPREVIOUS PROVEN EXPERIENCESAM/AD experience of digital/social clientsHighly experienced in developing, running and reporting on paid campaigns across all channelsExcellent communication skills (verbal and written)Strong content skills – from overseeing creative development and social copy creation to ensuring brand consistency across platformsDemonstrated ability to drive strong client relationships, drafting/executing plans, providing thoughtful analysisUnderstanding and management of client budgets – and ability to discuss with clientsExperience in running paid advertising on other digital platforms and channels (Google Ads, ATL and audio/podcast advertising) is a bonus, but not a requirementCULTURESpirited (look for inquisitive employees who will ask questions, challenge and get stuck in)Non-hierarchical, open working environment (ability to work in a team, contribute to meetings)Social (willing to get involved in agency life and with your peer group)WE Communications seeks to hire the best talent in the industry.
