OverviewLearn more about the general tasks related to this opportunity below, as well as required skills.Our nationally recognised Catastrophic Loss team at DWF (one of the largest in the UK) are recruiting for an ambitious NQ - 5 year post qualified Solicitor, Senior Solicitor or Legal Executive to join their team in Manchester. The team represents a wide range of leading insurers, including household names, specialising in complex, high value cases. These matters include Road Traffic Accidents (RTAs), Employers’ Liability (EL), and Public Liability (PL) with claim values ranging from £150,000 to £20 million. This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing team handling challenging and rewarding cases with opportunities for progression.The role is hybrid and we would expect the successful individual to attend the Manchester office a minimum of 2 days per week.ResponsibilitiesManaging a caseload of catastrophic loss and serious injury claims, with value ranging from £150,000 to £20 million.Assisting senior team members with complex, multi-million-pound cases.Advising clients, including insurers and corporate clients, on liability, quantum, and litigation strategy.Drafting documents, preparing for court, and engaging in settlement negotiations.Developing and maintaining strong client relationships through excellent service delivery.Staying updated on legal developments in catastrophic injury and insurance law.QualificationsEssential:NQ - 5 years PQE experience in defendant catastrophic loss/injury litigation.Strong background in catastrophic and/or serious injury, personal injury, large loss or complex loss claims, with values from £150,000 to £20 million.Excellent knowledge of personal injury law, liability, and quantum assessment.Desirable:Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills.Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.Commitment to delivering outstanding service and results.What we offerAt DWF, we offer a comprehensive rewards package beyond a basic salary.
