They will bring a clear vision for future developments, ensuring that, under their leadership, the Department continues to offer top-class training which prepares RBC’s saxophonists for their professional lives. The postholder will play a crucial role in recruitment of both undergraduate and postgraduate saxophonists, and take an active role in outreach activities. They will also provide one-to-one Principal Study tuition, coach chamber groups and organise masterclasses and events for the department.The role, which is overseen by the Head of Woodwind, is hourly paid: teaching is currently paid at £52.89 per hour, and the postholder will receive an allocation of hours at £28.80 per hour for administration and other activities relating to their leadership of the area.
