We are always looking for new colleagues that share these values.RequirementsEssentialUnderstanding of the GB Rail industryBe adaptable to working across different disciplines, including commercial (revenue and costs), operational, business case and appraisal, programme delivery and technical assuranceBe able to work as part of a team, but also with the confidence to make technical decisions to support project deliveryExperience in the analysis of large datasets using Excel – to support work including the analysis of industry revenue data, mobile network data and train performance dataAbility to coach and develop junior members of staff in technical areasStrong written and verbal communication skills, including the presentation of project work to clientsAbility to present complex technical analysis to a range of audiencesExperience managing small to medium size projects or major workstreamsDesirableExperience of working in the rail industryExperience in the use of coding languages/software (e.g. R, Python, PowerBI, Tableau) for the analysis/presentation of large datasetsAbility to coach and develop junior members of the teamDemonstrable contribution to the improvement of technical approaches to delivering workExperience of supporting bid development and work winningBenefitsPrivate medical insurance and health screeningLife assurance and group income protectionCompany pension schemeEAP and mental health first aiders25 days annual leave and ability to buy and sell annual leave daysSeason Ticket Loan / Cycle to WorkGroup Share Incentive PlanUp to 5 days for volunteering activitiesDiscretionary bonus scheme based on annual compensation (dependent upon individual and company performance)CompensationSteer is committed to ensuring that all its employees are compensated a fair, livable wage. In addition to base salary, all employees will be eligible for an annual discretionary performance bonus. Steer reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional compensation.Work EnvironmentAll Steer employees seeking a full‑time opportunity are encouraged to spend 60% of their time either in the office or on‑site with clients.
