OverviewFollowing Amberside Advisors' recent partnership with Steer and to support our future growth plans, we are looking to strengthen our team with the appointment of an experienced Manager.As a Manager, you will become an advocate of the firm who pushes forward internal (such as maintaining marketing data) and external initiatives. The role involves building and maintaining strong business relationships with clients, executing projects to a high standard, and working with and managing other colleagues.ResponsibilitiesStart to take the lead on multiple projects or programmes through the management of a team with the contribution of cross divisional specialistsRigorously executing projects to a level that meet the high-quality standards of Amberside Advisors and reviewing completion to identify lessons learned and enhance future quality and planningBuild and cultivate strong business relationships, identify new opportunities, lead negotiations, and demonstrate technical and operational leadership to deliver quality, client-centric solutionsWork on CPD to sustain professional status/accreditation and develop and maintain a portfolio of clients and professional networks by building strategic relationships with senior stakeholders of existing or new clientsSeek, develop, and drive business development opportunities, while anticipating current and future needs of the company based on client/industry researchManage scope, preparation, delivery, reporting and evaluation for larger and higher-risk projects and engagementsEffectively manage commercial and contractual aspects of engagements to achieve expected quality, profitability, and deadlinesCommunicate risk and issues early to appropriate colleagues and suggest solutionsMaintain awareness of market trends, competitor activity and products/services, sharing pertinent market/client knowledge with senior managementCollaborate with peers to form a cohesive senior management team and participate in decisions such as resource allocationTake action to ensure employee wellbeing is actively managed or escalated if neededReview junior team’s work to ensure quality; identify development needs and provide coaching, mentoring and stretch assignments to attract, develop and retain talentMeet deadlines throughout the Amberside Advisors Performance Development Cycle, including appraisals, objective setting, and managing underperformance where necessaryEnsure team are accurately charged time to engagement codes to reflect true value of work deliveredSupport onboarding of new joinersRequirementsAbout the candidateYou must be self-motivated, a team player, and have a passion for working on large projects that make a difference.
