Sustainable, long‑term financing and innovative partnerships are essential to close this gap and end malnutrition globally.Main purpose of the roleAs a senior subject‑matter expert and leader in CIFF's global Nutrition team, the Director will develop and execute cutting‑edge strategies, leading a team to deliver high‑quality, timely proposals and programmes aligned to the Foundation Strategy and Nutrition Sector Priorities.ResponsibilitiesLead strategy, portfolio development and programme management of a set of investments, ensuring alignment with the Foundation Strategy.Provide advice to the Executive Director Nutrition, Chief Impact Officer, the Executive Team and CIFF Board on related issues to support strategy, policy and initiative development.Take the lead on corporate, cross‑cutting initiatives and projects as required by the Executive Team.Deliver compelling leadership, creating clarity for the team and building shared accountability for success.Develop and maintain external relationships, acting as CIFF’s corporate ambassador to enhance the organisation’s reputation.Deputise for the Executive Director as needed.Strategy & PlanningContribute to the development and review of the Medium‑Term Sector Plan & Priorities to maximise impact within available resources.Co‑lead the development and implementation of the annual Executable Plan, ensuring effective prioritisation of resources and activities.Programme Development, Delivery & PerformanceOversee the development of investment proposals and implementation of high‑impact programmes by a Manager/Analyst team, ensuring quality, timeliness and strategic alignment.Allocate and monitor individual targets for pipeline, new investments and grant draw‑down to meet programme objectives.Conduct regular reviews of development and delivery to ensure compliance with due diligence and risk protocols, intervening as necessary.Ensure proposals and programmes are underpinned by robust monitoring and evaluation processes, supporting advocacy and scaling agendas.Provide casework advice, guidance and mentoring to deepen organisational capability.Maintain procedures and frameworks for leveraging and scaling successful programmes.Review processes to maximise operational effectiveness and efficiency.Lead collection and analysis of team performance data to support decision‑making and planning.Manage the end‑to‑end caseload of active programmes and investment pipeline.Sector Knowledge & Profile‑BuildingMaintain extensive external networks with experts and opinion‑formers in nutrition specialisms.Commission sector‑relevant research to inform programme delivery and evaluation.Contribute to high‑quality thought leadership, PR and marketing to raise awareness of CIFF’s work.Stakeholder & Partner ManagementIdentify, cultivate and manage key partners to achieve coordinated objectives.Support junior colleagues in negotiating and managing programme partners.Leadership of the TeamProvide inspiring, motivational leadership that models CIFF values.Employ a coaching approach to foster openness, trust and continuous improvement.Support direct reports, ensuring high performance through objective setting and regular review.QualificationsRecognised expert in one or more nutrition sector strategic focus areas with a proven senior‑level global track record.Track record in resource mobilisation for nutrition/public health, especially in LMICs.Comprehensive understanding of international development funding flows.Experience in designing, implementing or funding innovative nutrition solutions.Experience in hard‑to‑reach and humanitarian contexts.Proficiency in cost‑benefit and ROI methodologies.Strong people‑leadership skills, motivating and holding teams accountable.Effective advocacy and professional representation of CIFF’s programmes.Strong relationship‑building and negotiation skills.Adaptability across cultural and socio‑economic contexts.Analytical thinking to draw sound conclusions from complex data.Business process improvement experience.High financial literacy.Key Working RelationshipsExecutive Director Nutrition and Chief Impact Officer;
