This role is part of Cavell’s 2026‑2029 strategy to diversify services for the nursing and midwifery workforce.Base pay rangeLocation: Remote / Hybrid (minimum of one day per month at Cavell’s offices in Redditch, Worcestershire)Employment Type: Full-timeSalary: £55k – £58kResponsibilitiesService Delivery and Oversight: Provide strategic and operational leadership for the support team, oversee casework delivery, monitor workloads and ensure service quality and consistency.Evaluation, Impact and Continuous Improvement: Design and implement robust evaluation frameworks, produce reports and dashboards, use insight to drive continuous improvement and enhance external credibility.Funding and Partnership Support: Identify and shape funding opportunities, provide data for bids, support theory of change models, co‑develop case studies and contribute to financial planning.Research, Insight and Opportunity Development: Conduct and commission research into external services, monitor policy developments and funding landscapes, share insights on emerging needs.Championing the Nursing and Midwifery Workforce: Lead insight and evidence work, analyse trends and systemic issues, translate data into narratives, represent Cavell at external meetings.Leadership and Collaboration: Act as a senior leader, build supportive relationships with the support team, foster cross‑team collaboration and provide effective line management and development.Ideal CandidateExperienced charity leader with an empathetic, compassionate and proactive approach, knowledge of support services and grant‑making systems, competency in project management, excellent communication and relationship management skills, and a commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.Experience coaching and developing a high‑performing team.Sound understanding of governance, safeguarding and data protection.Experience researching needs to inform new products or services.Effective negotiation and influencing skills with attention to detail.Competent with IT, including Microsoft Office.Strong organisation and time‑management skills.Optimised a CRM database to capture and manage data.Understanding of national mental health support services provision.Empathy for pressures facing nursing and midwifery professionals.Our ideal candidate will also have, where possible, experience capturing and recording case studies and impact stories; supporting survivors of domestic abuse; a valid driving licence; and a Mental Health First Aid or similar qualification.Success Looks LikeThe support team is engaged, supported and empowered to thrive.Cavell has an effective data and insight strategy, amplifying nurses and midwives’ voices in national policy discussions.The service offer meets evolving needs with robust evaluation frameworks.BenefitsA flexible, supportive working culture.38 days of annual leave (including bank holidays).Up to an 8% employer pension contribution.Access to an employer assistance programme.Enhanced sick pay (after probation).Enhanced family leave policies.Application ProcessPlease click on the application page to download the full job pack prior to applying.
