Halfords has an exciting opportunity to join us as our Head of Leadership Development.

As the Head of Leadership Development, you will have the opportunity to shape the Halfords Group's approach to leadership and design, build, and deliver leadership development at all levels across the business.

It’s a true end-to-end role with lots of autonomy

Working closely with the Talent Director, you will develop a comprehensive leadership strategy that cultivates best-in-class leaders capable of delivering our group strategy - “To Inspire and support a lifetime of motoring and cycling”.

These contributions will have a direct impact on our leadership development journey, shaping the growth and success of many current and future leaders at Halfords.

**As the Head of Leadership Development, you’ll contribute by**:

- Designing and delivering extraordinary learning experiences for aspiring and current managers across all levels within our organisation.
- Collaborating with stakeholders, including executives, to assess capability gaps and co-create impactful leadership development programmes.
- Integrating our leadership model and expectations into talent processes to create a cohesive leadership culture.
- Defining metrics for successful evaluation of programmes, aligning them with business and cultural drivers
- Implementing career development plans for high-potential individuals.
- Driving change and effective communication strategies to ensure the adoption of learning requirements
- Designing a coaching strategy and building a coaching culture within the organisation

**What we’re looking for**:
You’ll need to possess proven experience in designing and delivering leadership programmes at scale. Furthermore, your ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders, including executives, and your facilitation and coaching skills will be critical to delivering impactful learning experiences for our leaders. You will ideally hold a bachelor's degree, relevant HR qualifications and delivery and assessment certifications. Experience in building a coaching culture, career pathways and talent and succession planning will be highly valuable.
