Fletchers understand and celebrating that no colleague is the same.We’re proud of our work on the Disability Confident scheme, and we are signing up to other diversity standards to reflect our ethos.Main Responsibilities :Ensure that cases are progressed in a timely and commercial manner in line with KPI targets and estimated settlement datesDeal with all aspects of pre and post issue procedures; pursuing cases to conclusionAssess liability at an early stage, make decisions on prospects of case early and keep write offs to a minimumDrafting court documents including pleadings, applications, witness statements and court directionsTo research points of law and to take responsibility for researching topics prior to undertaking allocated tasks to ensure accuracyLiaise with clients, experts, barristers, third party solicitors and insurers – a willingness to travel to accommodate attendance in person when appropriateAttend Court, Joint Settlement Meetings, Case Management Conferences and Conferences with or without Counsel when necessary and in person when appropriate. Overnight stay may be required in some cases.Accurate time recordingMaintain cases in good order in accordance with Lexcel and other quality assurance requirementsEnsure that all outstanding actions as per the task list are completed in a timely fashionDelegate tasks as appropriate to your AssistantsAssist in the supervision and development of your Assistants and Paralegals across the teamBe willing to put forward ideas and to engage in brand development and marketingMentor new team members when requiredMaximise all opportunities to escape fixed recoverable costs where applicableEnsure that an excellent level of client care is maintainedEngage in brand development and marketingEssential Skills and Experience :The successful candidate should be a Solicitor, NQ – Grade A / B or CILEX, or with equivalent non-qualified experienceA proven track record of dealing with serious injury work is essential, including traumatic brain injury and complex multiple orthopaedic injuries on case with a value up to £100,000Proven KPI’s in fees recovery, time recording and client careExperienced at dealing with a diverse range of liability scenarios including EL / PL as well as RTAs and multiple defendantsExcellent people and client care skills; a sensitive and professional approach alwaysExperienced in litigation at both County Court and High Court levelSound knowledge of the CPR, litigation process and cost budgeting processExcellent oral and written communication skillsSelf-motivated and proactiveA commercial approach to litigation and case progressionWilling to commit to achieving results and meeting deadlinesFlexible in working hours and able to travelThe ability to work in a team and to mentor other team membersGood IT skills, especially in respect of Microsoft Office packages. xpwpeyx Previous experience of Proclaim is preferable but not essentialAble to liaise and work well with other integral teams across the businessExcellent time managementWillingness to put forward ideas and to engage in brand development, networking events and marketingDesirable Qualifications, Skills and Experience :Experience of proclaim case management system would be desirableDriving licenceWe reserve the right to close this role before the date specified depending on the calibre and volume of candidates.Add Job AdvertLocation : Leeds / HybridSalary : DOEDepartment : Serious Injury LawClosing Date : Fri, 28 Nov 2025#J-18808-Ljbffr
