We always take time to stop to celebrate milestones and wins.We live by our core values:Building this togetherGive a shitFail fast to succeed fasterUnlimited potentialFind out more about our culture here:OVERVIEWWe’re looking for a strategic and hands‑on, commercially driven Commercial Trading Director to lead and structure, negotiate, and close deals with advertisers, agencies, and partners across our growing business.You’ll sit at the heart of our commercial engine, partnering with Sales, Legal, and Finance to design smart deal frameworks that accelerate growth while managing risk. This is a high‑impact role for someone who thrives on negotiation, loves solving complex deal challenges, and wants to build scalable processes in a fast‑moving, entrepreneurial environment.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESWhat you need to be successful:Champion a faster, smarter, more data‑driven approach to deal‑making.Lead commercial negotiations with advertisers, agencies, data partners, and tech vendors, ensuring deals are structured to drive profitability and long‑term value.Partner with Sales leadership to define negotiation strategies that drive revenue and profitable margin outcomes.Streamline the contracting process; creating templates, playbooks, and scalable workflows.Work closely with Finance on deal modeling, payment structures, and margin analysis.Collaborate with Product and Operations to ensure contract terms align with platform capabilities and delivery models.Own commercial terms, pricing frameworks, and approval processes for all major client and partner contracts.Translate complex legal or financial concepts into practical, commercial recommendations for Sales teams.Track contract performance and proactively manage renewals and upsell opportunities, keeping both internal and external trading partners up to speed through monthly updates and in‑person QBRs.Support Sales Enablement with training on contract terms, pricing strategies, and negotiation best practices.Drive a culture of commercial accountability and excellence across the sales organization.Identify opportunities to simplify, automate, and accelerate deal cycle.REQUIREMENTSWhat you need to be successful:10+ years in commercially focused roles within a media vendor, agency that has involved commercial negotiations and deal management.Proven success leading complex contract negotiations with Agency holding groups, Independent agencies and Client JBPs.Strong understanding of ad tech commercial models, pricing structures, and platform terms.Senior Digital/AV contacts within agencies and centralised trading functions across Independent agencies and holding groups as well as strong direct client relationships.Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.A proactive, detail‑oriented mindset with a passion for driving commercial impact.Understanding of data privacy implications in commercial contracts (GDPR, CCPA).YOU WILL ENJOY25 days holiday + bank holidays + your birthday + volunteer dayRegular shutdown days, including the festive periodHybrid working – 3 days in the officeFree hot lunch on Tuesday and ThursdayUK Private Healthcare Plan with AXAAccess to SPILL – instant therapy supportAccess to Mental Health First AidersSport and wellbeing activities; yoga and softballFinancial wellbeing supportWork from any Captify office in the worldCapti‑Family Benefits: including Child Nursery SavingsUK Pension planCycle to work schemeEyecare vouchersFree breakfastBeer, bubbles and non‑alcoholic alternatives every Thursday at the Captify BarDog friendly officeAccess to Capti‑Academy – Captify's bespoke Learning platformEQUAL OPPORTUNITIESYou are welcome at Captify for who you are, no matter where you come from, what you look like, or what your search history says about you.
