Your leadership will directly impact the speed, quality, and innovation of our new product development.What You’ll Be DoingLead the operational delivery of the Test by Design Department, ensuring all test activities are well planned, resourced, and executed to deadlines.Inspire and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and technical excellence.Collaborate with R&D and Operations to align testing with project goals and timelinesDrive process discipline across documentation, data logging, equipment usage, and health & safetyOptimise departmental KPIs, capacity planning, and resource scheduling to maximise throughput and minimise bottlenecksChampion lean thinking and operational excellence across the departmentWhat You’ll BringProven track record in leading operational teams in a technical, engineering, or manufacturing environment.Exposure to a testing, validation, or laboratory environment (mechanical, materials, or product testing).Strong people management skills with experience of building team capability, managing performance, and driving engagement.Excellent planning and organisational skills, including resource scheduling and workload balancing.Confidence in driving process improvements and embedding efficient, repeatable workflows.We know some candidates hesitate to apply unless they meet 100% of the criteria.
