We're looking for a hands-on
Quality Control Team Leader
for a prestigious manufacturer in Elland to deliver exceptional standards across inspection, measurement, and documentation. You'll play a key role in ensuring products meet the highest technical and customer requirements — from raw material inspection through to final release.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop the Quality Control team to meet daily business priorities.
  • Drive efficiency and effectiveness across all QC activities.
  • Provide technical expertise in measurement, inspection, and test methods.
  • Perform dimensional, visual, and surface inspections on components and assemblies.
  • Conduct surface finish, hardness, and PMI checks.
  • Maintain and control calibration of inspection and test equipment.
  • Support internal audits and ensure adherence to company procedures.
  • Liaise with customers, auditors, and third-party inspectors, offering technical support and problem resolution.

About You

  • Time-served apprentice or degree-qualified in a technical, manufacturing, or quality discipline.
  • Strong background in manufacturing and quality control.
  • Able to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Good understanding of geometric tolerancing and metrology.
  • Proficient with CMMs, hand-held measuring equipment, and inspection/test instruments.
  • Knowledge of alloys, casting, welding, coating, and NDT processes (advantageous)..
  • Competent with Microsoft Office; SAP experience desirable.
