By deploying our general-purpose humanoid robots in environments deemed hazardous or monotonous, we envision a future where human well-being is safeguarded while closing the gaps in critical global labour needs.The Principal Systems Architect will play a key role in the design, development, and deployment of our advanced humanoid robotic systems. This role requires a deep understanding of state-of-the-art robotics, system architecture, integration, and optimization.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement technical strategies aligned with the company’s mission and long-term goals.Collaborate with cross-functional leads and subject matter experts to architect robust, scalable systems that satisfy product requirements.Define and manage system-level requirements and ensure alignment across all engineering teams.Create and maintain system documentation, including block diagrams, interface specifications, and design narratives.Present architectural directions, trade-offs, and technical roadmaps to the leadership team.Lead trade studies and apply structured, evidence-based decision-making to guide critical design choices.Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, ensuring architectural efficiency, reliability, and scalability.Stay up-to-date on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices relevant to robotic system design.Establish technical standards and best practices, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and safety guidelines.Identify and mitigate technical risks throughout the development lifecycle.Guide system integration efforts and coordinate with mechanical, electrical, software, and AI teams.Support system integration efforts to ensure high system performance and reliability.Required QualificationsBachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.15+ years relevant industry experience in technical leadership positions, including 5+ years of experience in system architecture design, preferably in robotics or complex embedded systems.Strong knowledge of robotic system design, including kinematics, dynamics, control algorithms, and perception systems.Proficiency in hardware-software co-design, real-time computing, and middleware frameworks.Experience with AI/ML integration, sensor fusion, and autonomous decision-making systems.Familiarity with embedded systems, microcontrollers, FPGAs, and high-performance computing platforms.Understanding of wireless communication protocols, power management strategies, and battery technologies.Experience with system simulation tools such as Gazebo, Simulink, or similar modeling environments.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage trade-offs between performance, cost, and complexity.Preferred QualificationsExperience designing safety-critical or mission-critical systems.Familiarity with compliance standards such as ISO 26262 or IEC 61508.Exposure to digital twin architectures and real-time system simulation.Knowledge of DevOps practices and deployment pipelines for robotic applications.High competitive salary23 calendar days of vacation per year.Opportunity to work on the latest technologies in AI, Robotics, Blockchain and others.Startup model, offering a dynamic and innovative work environment. xpwpeyx Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionIndustries: Robotics Engineering, Robot Manufacturing, and Appliances, Electrical, and Electronics ManufacturingNote: Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Humanoid.#J-18808-Ljbffr
