You’ll partner with our operational leaders and the Senior TA Partner to deliver a seamless recruitment experience from start to finish. A large part of this role will involve high‑volume recruitment of bus drivers, so you’ll need to manage fast‑paced campaigns while delivering an excellent candidate experience.What you’ll be doingPartner with hiring managers to understand current and future hiring needsManage the full recruitment lifecycle — from role briefing through to offer stageLead high‑volume driver recruitment campaigns across your business areaUse creative sourcing strategies (job boards, social media, networking) to engage great candidatesBuild proactive talent pipelines for key rolesProvide market insights and recruitment expertise to support effective decision‑makingDeputise for the Senior TA Partner and act as a key contact across the business when neededPromote First Bus as an employer of choice through every interactionKeep accurate records in the ATS and report on progress regularlyWhat we’re looking forProven recruitment experience (in‑house or agency), managing end‑to‑end processesExperience in high‑volume recruitment, ideally within a fast‑paced operational environmentStrong stakeholder management skills — confident working with operational leadersExcellent sourcing and pipeline‑building abilityGreat communication skills with the ability to advise and influenceHighly organised, proactive, and comfortable managing competing prioritiesPassionate about creating a positive, inclusive candidate experienceCommercially aware, with the ability to use data and insights to inform decisionsBenefitsComprehensive health benefits through Simply Health & Smart Health, including xpwpeyx cash‑back benefits, virtual GP appointments, mental health support, and nutrition/fitness adviceEmployee Assistance Programme with 24/7 confidential supportDiscounts on high‑street brands, supermarkets, and a platform for savingsDiscounted train travel for you and your family after 6 months of service, plus a free bus passCycle‑to‑work scheme25 days’ holiday + bank holidaysDefined contribution pension scheme and opportunity to buy discounted First Group sharesWe put a big focus on physical and mental wellbeing at First Bus.
