Solicitor – Vehicle Hire and DamageNot sure what skills you will need for this opportunity Simply read the full description below to get a complete picture of candidate requirements.Department: CSG - Casualty (EL/PL / Complex Injury / Disease / Fraud / Motor Injury / Vehicle Hire and Damage)Location: Glasgow, ScotlandJoin our dynamic Vehicle Hire and Damage team where you will work on a diverse caseload and contribute to high‑quality legal outcomes in a supportive and forward‑thinking environment.ResponsibilitiesAct as the point of contact for clients on Scottish claims, demonstrating a level of knowledge and skill commensurate with experience.Support marketing and business development activity within the team (e.g. attending marketing events, client training, clinics and shadowing days).Handle a caseload of litigated claims containing credit hire, damage, fraud and injury elements and achieve performance measures.Maintain awareness of the firm’s strategies and plans.Maintain and develop technical knowledge through attendance at training sessions and reading appropriate publications.Handle confidential information in line with the firm’s data security protocols.Appear in court as and when required.Meet individual financial performance targets contributing to the team and wider product success.QualificationsBe a qualified Solicitor with demonstrable experience handling a varied caseload in the Scottish courts.Have expertise in commercial litigation generally, with experience managing a varied caseload.Be highly organised, a confident negotiator and communicative with an outstanding eye for detail.Have excellent relationship and client handling skills; able to deal confidently and professionally with clients on day‑to‑day issues.Be able to demonstrate a reasonable level of self‑sufficiency combined with an awareness of the boundaries of own competence/authority.Be proactive with a tenacious approach to identifying issues and solving problems.Have an ability to adopt a commercial perspective.Demonstrate alignment with the firm’s Cultural Principles (Clear, Creative, Determined and Supportive).BenefitsHigh levels of flexibility and a great work‑life balance.A well‑rounded remuneration package (private medical insurance, income protection insurance and discounted gym membership).Opportunities for growth and progression including professional funding.In‑person and remote social events.Opportunity to get involved in a range of ESG activities.We are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive and authentic workplace, aligning closely with our cultural principles (Determined, Clear, Creative and Supportive). xpwpeyx If you are excited about this role and being part of our culture, we encourage you to apply anyway.#J-18808-Ljbffr
