About the role… We’re looking for a motivated and collaborative Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic, supportive and growing commercial team working on our Northumbrian Living Water Enterprise Account. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in the utilities and infrastructure sector while working alongside experienced professionals who are passionate about mentoring and development. You’ll be part of a forward‑thinking partnership where you’ll learn from our current Quantity Surveyors and apply your knowledge to live projects. You’ll support the team in delivering key commercial and contractual responsibilities, assist operational teams, and contribute to ensuring the best possible outcomes for our clients. This role is based out of our Durham office, and you will spend a minimum of 3 days a week working from the office or on site. This role is a September 2026 start. What a typical day could look like… As a Graduate Quantity Surveyor, you will support the full project lifecycle — from estimating and procurement through to cost management and final accounts. Your responsibilities will include: Assisting in the preparation of valuations, cost reports, and project forecasts Supporting procurement activities and subcontractor management Helping to assess and manage project risks and opportunities Contributing to project meetings and commercial reviews Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment About you… We’re looking for graduates who are curious, creative, and ready to collaborate to create change and bring fresh perspectives. You’ll bring insights from your education and life experiences, and we’ll empower you to make a real impact. You should be graduating in 2026 or already graduated from your degree qualification. You’ll be digitally confident, a clear communicator, and able to collaborate with others while also taking initiative. We value organisation, attention to detail, and a desire to keep learning.
