Direct message the job poster from Validus Risk Management About the Market Risk Solutions Team at Validus Based in London, the Market Risk Solutions team provides specialist front, middle and back office outsourced services for our client base of private capital managers, institutional investors and corporate clients. This involves: Risk identification and quantification projects Designing and presenting hedging solutions to internal and external clients Establishing trading infrastructure (trading lines, Long Form Confirmations, ISDA agreements) with investment banks and other counterparties Communicating and coordinating hedging activity with clients Executing derivative trades (as agent) on behalf of clients Ensuring best execution across a variety of derivatives (FX, Interest Rates, Commodities, futures) Managing and developing strong relationships with clients and across our global banking panel of 50+ banks Proactively working with clients and Validus colleagues to optimize hedging portfolios Requirements Identify and promote FX and IR risk solutions for clients relating to event driven risks Pricing and trade execution of FX and IR hedging products related to event driven risks Monitoring FX and rates markets to proactively assist our clients with the risk management of their exposures Communicating market insights to clients and hosting periodic calls Ensuring client best execution trading processes are adhered to in every transaction Managing client relationships Managing counterparty relationships (banks, dealers) Provide training and support to junior team members Carrying out adhoc project work and any other ancillary task as assigned by the Department Head 3-5+ years of professional experience in the FX markets focused on providing hedging support to corporate or institutional clients Postgraduate/undergraduate degree in a quantitative subject (e.g., finance, economics, engineering, math, statistics) Strong communication and presentation skills (written and verbal) Deep knowledge of FX markets and macro drivers Excellent attention to detail A desire to work in a very entrepreneurial environment, where we are constantly looking for ways to improve Benefits Eligible for company bonus scheme Enhanced Health Insurance with Dental, Optical and Mental health benefits Financial support towards qualifications Pension About the Company Validus Risk Management is an independent technology-enabled advisory firm specialising in the management of FX, interest rate and other market risks.
