Hartford Care is going through a period of growth which will see our portfolio of Residential Care and Nursing Homes increase in geographical sites and occupancy. Due to this expansion, an experienced Health and Safety professional is required to ensure our Residents and Teams are living and working in the safest environment possible.The role will report to the Group Health & Safety Manager and will work closely with the Operational teams to ensure we are meeting regulatory requirements. This role will provide first-hand support and guidance to our Regional and Home Managers to ensure all aspects of safety including fire and food safety standards are maintained and improved.This is a hybrid role and will require extensive travel throughout the South and South East regions including nights away with occasional visits to our Central Support office in Basingstoke.To act as a Hartford Care champion and ambassador at all times.Essential skills, knowledge & experience:Minimum NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and SafetyInternal Auditor qualificationExperience managing and auditing all aspects of Food SafetyFull UK driving licenceMinimum three years’ experience in the Care/Retirement living sector.A compassionate and caring natureExcellent written and oral communication skills including IT skillsExcellent time management skills with the ability to work under pressureAble to communicate effectively with residents and staffAble to work on own initiative as well as part of a teamA flexible approach to working hoursDesirableFire risk assessorLegionella Responsible Person qualificationManaging risks associated with the Care sector.Why work for us?Occupational sick payFree meals on shift in care homesAnnual pay reviewsLife InsuranceEnhanced maternity and paternity payRecruitment referral feeBlue Light discountsFree DBS Check and NMC PIN cost reimbursedSalary sacrifice schemesAccess to Wagestream – access to earned wages before payday and schemes to help you save.A full UK driving license and access to a car is essential for this role. #J-18808-Ljbffr
