An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the Pelvic Health Outpatient Physiotherapy team at North Bristol NHS Trust. Pelvic Health Physiotherapy is a growing and much needed specialty and we are very excited to be working as part of a national project to improve perinatal pelvic health services. We are looking for an excellent team player who is flexible, dynamic and open to change, to join our friendly and forward‑thinking team. Interviews Interviews will likely be in January 2026. Role Overview The post will involve the management of patients with obstetric, uro‑gynaecological, urological and colorectal dysfunction. The successful applicant will work within the specialist pelvic health physiotherapy team across North Bristol NHS sites and alongside the MDT. The role may involve travelling to deliver ante‑natal classes in the community. The post holder will be required to work autonomously without direct senior supervision, managing their own caseload independently. Senior support will be available most of the time. Band 6 Responsibilities Initiate and conduct audit or other clinical governance exercises. Active participation in supervision, training programmes and mentoring of support staff. We welcome applicants from all under‑represented groups. Key Duties Be an autonomous physiotherapy practitioner providing a high standard of care in the Pelvic Health Physiotherapy team. Undertake a comprehensive examination and assessment of patients, including those with diverse presentations/multi‑pathologies; use specialised clinical reasoning skills and manual examination techniques to provide an accurate diagnosis of their condition, including intimate examinations. Work across Trusts within North Bristol Health Care Services and occasional women’s health ward cover. Access advice/support from a more senior physiotherapist. Provide teaching and training to Health Care Professionals, students, patients and carers. Maintain own competency to practise through CPD activities and maintain a portfolio which reflects professional and personal development. See full job description for further details.
