Change Lead required to work with a Government department. This is an initial 6 month contract, paying £ a day, inside IR35, hybrid working. Job Description You'll have experience as a project manager with an understanding of budgets, roadmaps, portfolios of work and resource planning. You'll also have experience as senior delivery manager leading multidisciplinary teams, supporting and continuously improving products of significant scale and complexity. Working as a senior delivery manager, you'll be responsible for building and maintaining the strategy project plan, liaising with task owners and teams to collect progress updates, monitor progress, produce artefacts to assist the planning and tracking of work, and communicate progress to everyone, including the senior management team. You will proactively manage dependencies and risks to overcome obstacles to delivery, and work with the delivery operations team to track risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies. Project management Support the teams to ensure the successful delivery of the strategic project workstreams. Key responsibilities Planning and scoping : Help define project objectives, helping the owners of the workstreams to plan the project, set timelines, budgets, and resources Monitoring progress : Setting up and maintaining project tracking tools. Regularly check in with teams on their progress updating SMT on progress, issues, and risks. Preparing status reports and presentations. Risk management : Identifying and mitigating potential risks to project success, work with the people in the 11 project to identify dependencies, work out ideas on how we work around or together on those dependencies and communicate those to teams and SMT. Problem-solving : Identifying and resolving challenges the teams face, elevate those that can't be resolved to SMT. Implementation of the strategic projects Develop a successful implementation approach with the agile product teams. Key responsibilities Acting as a key part of the interface between the strategic workstream owners, agile product teams, and SMT. Responsible for thinking ahead, making plans and working with people to ensure that implementation remains on track. Highlight any risk when it occurs. Addressing resistance to change : Identify potential sources of resistance and develop strategies to mitigate them. Communication about the strategic project workstreams Responsible for overseeing communications about the strategy, ensuring its message is consistent and engaging. Build and maintain a positive momentum of the strategy. Key responsibilities Developing and implementing communication strategies : identify target audiences, setting communication goals, and creating plans to achieve them. Overseeing internal communications : Creating channels for employee communication, sending out updates on slack and via emails. Communicating the change : In conjunction with the SMT, develop communication plans to ensure that stakeholders are informed about the change and understand its purpose.
