As a team, we work to assess complicated situations, maneuver through regulatory hurdles, and implement solutions that meet both the letter of the law and the spirit of your business.Tradewin provides import and export consulting and tactical services in many areas of international trade including:Import HS Classification,Export HS Classification,Binding Ruling Requests (BTI’s),Export ECN and Licensing Determination,Import Procedures Development,Export Procedures Development,Post Entry Services,AEO Readiness Assessment,Trade Agreement Qualification,AEO Procedures Implementation Assistance,Valuation Analysis,Customs Compliance Assessments,Compliance Training,Denied Party Screening,Export Licence determination and application.Job DescriptionAs a Customs and Trade Compliance Consultant, you would be responsible for advising clients on regulations governing the cross-border movement of goods, ensuring adherence to international and domestic customs laws, and developing strategies to minimize duties and taxes.Major Duties and ResponsibilitiesMonitor regulatory changes affecting customs and trade complianceAnalyze import and export data for accuracy and complianceAssist with classification and valuation of productsGuide clients through free trade agreements and special customs programsProvide problem-solving and risk mitigation strategiesCommunicate clearly with businesses to help them navigate the evolving global trade landscapeCollaborate and communicate effectively with both internal and external parties.Pursue improvements in procedures and services to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.Support the sales process.Complete 52 hours of training per year as per company standards.Adhere to ethical business practices and contribute to the organization's success.QualificationsAt least two years’ professional experience in a trade compliance positionSignificant hands-on experience managing international trade compliance mattersComprehensive understanding of European Union laws and regulationsStrong project management skills, with advanced proficiency in Excel and related computer applicationsProven ability to engage with both internal and external stakeholders to collect information and coordinate projects, ensuring customer needs are met proactivelyDemonstrated skill in developing performance metrics and assessing both internal operations and external service providersAbility to work effectively under pressure, solve problems, and support teams in meeting or exceeding customer deadlinesTrack record of establishing, implementing, and maintaining standards, while continuously seeking improvement opportunitiesPositive attitude and outstanding communication abilitiesAdditional RequirementsA Bachelor\'s degree is preferred.Possession of a Customs Broker Licence or certificate from a recognised national authority or accredited local educator is preferred, but not mandatory. #J-18808-Ljbffr
