Clinical Support Worker Higher Level – Theatre Nursing Posted 4 days ago. Be among the first 25 applicants. We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Band 3 Health Care Support Worker to join our busy and supportive theatre departments at Glasgow Royal Infirmary and Stobhill ACH. You will play a vital role in supporting the smooth and safe running of theatres, working alongside a multidisciplinary team including surgeons, anaesthetists, ODPs and nurses. Shift pattern: Initially day shift – 4 shifts Monday to Friday. An expectancy to be fully rotational 7 days/nights is essential during orientation and training period. Salary: Pro Rata for part time hours. Please note that effective 1 April 2026, the full‑time working hours for all Agenda for Change posts will be reduced to 36 hours. Main duties and responsibilities: Assist in preparing operating theatres before and after surgical procedures. Transport patients to and from theatres ensuring comfort, safety and dignity. Support clinical staff when preparing patients for surgery. Maintain cleanliness and infection control standards in all theatre areas. Handle and manage surgical instruments, equipment and sterile supplies. Carry out stock checks and ensure adequate supplies of consumables. Assist in emergency situations following protocols under supervision. Provide general administrative and support tasks as required.
