Clinical Support Worker Higher Level – Theatre Nursing A role within NHS Scotland looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Band 3 Health Care Support Worker to support smooth and safe running of theatres at Glasgow Royal Infirmary and Stobhill ACH. Shift pattern: initially day shift 4 shifts Monday to Friday. Full rotational 7 days/nights is required during orientation and training. Salary is pro‑rate for part‑time hours. Effective 1 April 2026 full‑time hours for all Agenda for Change posts will be reduced to 36 hours. Assist in preparing operating theatres before and after surgical procedures. Transport patients to and from theatres ensuring comfort, safety and dignity. Support clinical staff when preparing patients for surgery. Maintain cleanliness and infection control standards in all theatre areas. Handle and manage surgical instruments, equipment and sterile supplies. Carry out stock checks and ensure adequate supplies of consumables. Assist in emergency situations following protocols under supervision. Provide general administrative and support tasks as required. The role requires excellent communication skills, ability to plan and prioritise workload efficiently, a commitment to high standard care and willingness to further personal development.
