Base pay range

Technical Business Analyst X2 | London | Hybrid | up to £65,000 + Bonus & Excellent Benefits

Hydras are working on behalf of a fast-growing, dynamic and successful IT Security Consultancy headquartered in London with several UK offices in South West and North East England. They are looking for 2 mid-senior Business Analysts who will be in support of public sector clients.

A Consultancy background is highly desirable and the ability to become SC Cleared. Knowledge of either working across the full software development life-cycle (SDLC) and/or Infrastructure will be necessary with strong client-facing skills and working with cross-functional teams, overcoming complex challenges from design phase through to solution implementation.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Analyse, and document business requirements through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and process reviews
  2. Develop business cases, process flows, and system specifications
  3. Ensure project scope aligns with business objectives and stakeholder expectations
  4. Conduct analysis of existing business processes, identifying areas for improvement
  5. Recommend enhancements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and align with strategic goals
  6. Assist project managers in tracking project timelines, dependencies, risks, and issues
  7. Act as a liaison between IT teams and the business to ensure alignment
  8. Translate technical information into easy-to-understand insights for non-technical stakeholders
  9. Assist in troubleshooting system issues and coordinating resolutions with IT teams
  10. Analyse business systems project-related data to support data-driven decision-making
  11. Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate findings and project status updates

Skills/Knowledge

  1. Relevant experience as a Business Analyst ideally with knowledge gained in systems integration companies/Cyber Consultancies
  2. 5+ years' Public Sector Industry experience with specific focus on Cyber Security
  3. In-depth cross-functional knowledge to understand business objectives and requirements and recommended solutions
  4. In-depth knowledge of techniques and tools to assist with investigating, analysing, modelling and documenting business areas
  5. Experience of working on multiple projects simultaneously from small short-term projects to large multi-stream programmes
  6. Proven experience with principles, methods, techniques and tools for the effective management of the testing process and execution of tests throughout the lifecycle of development or integration projects.
