Consultant in Adult Inpatient Psychiatry*Generous Recruitment Package*Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust is excited to offer a newly created Consultant Psychiatrist post for our male acute in-patient ward--Waveney--at Hellesdon Hospital, Norwich.The ward is reopening soon following refurbishment, providing 15 male acute beds for adults aged 18-70. This is a unique opportunity to work alongside a new team, develop the service, and hone your leadership skills within a supportive new locality leadership structure and a collaborative MDT.Main duties of the jobAs Consultant on Waveney Ward you will:Provide admission, assessment, and treatment for male adults (18-70) with severe mental disordersCare for both voluntary and detained patients under the Mental Health ActWork alongside substantive Specialty DoctorsLead and develop the new ward teamParticipate in the Consultant on-call rotaYou will have:GMC registrationEntry on the GMC Specialist Register (CCST) in Adult Psychiatry, or within three months of completionApplications welcomed from those seeking flexible working, academic, or special interest sessionsAbout usNorfolk, a beautiful county situated in the East with excellent schools, well known beaches, forests and inland waterway natural beauty and all just a short hop to Amsterdam from Norwich Airport.
