Our People Operations & Transformation team plays a key role in ensuring smooth onboarding, accurate payroll processing, and efficient People (HR) operations across the organisation.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide day‑to‑day oversight, guidance and support to the People Operations Administrators.Coordinate the onboarding process for employed staff, ensuring it runs efficiently and provides a positive experience for new joiners.Manage employee lifecycle changes (such as contract changes, leavers and updates) accurately and on time.Take responsibility for monthly payroll preparation, ensuring all data is correct before submission to the managed payroll service.Check and verify the returned payroll from the managed payroll service, ensuring accuracy before sending for final approval and payment.Act as the first point of escalation for the team, helping to resolve queries and manage competing priorities.Monitor and manage the People Operations ticketing system, ensuring queries are allocated, tracked and completed promptly.Support audits, ensure compliance with GDPR and internal People policies, and help identify opportunities for improvement.Promote a culture of accuracy, accountability and continuous improvement within the team.RequirementsExperience in HR or People Operations, with a solid understanding of onboarding and HR administration.Experience in monthly payroll process management is desirable – training will be provided where needed.Able to coordinate and support others, giving clear direction and maintaining strong standards of service.Highly organised and detail‑focused, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.Confident using HR systems and platforms (experience with HiBob or similar is desirable).Knowledge of GDPR and the handling of confidential employee information.Proactive, solutions‑focused and motivated by improving processes and service quality.Remuneration & Benefits£40‑£45,000 annual salary25 days paid holiday (increasing with service to 28 days) plus bank holidays.One day off for your birthday.Healthcare Cash PlanBenefits PlatformLife AssuranceDiscount VouchersFlexible working opportunities to suit your personal needs.Opportunities to take part in charitable events.Access to a Wellbeing portal and Employee Assistance Programme (EAP).Equal Opportunities EmployerWe are committed to creating an inclusive and diverse workplace.
