Progress Teachers are working in partnership with a supportive mainstream secondary school in Nottingham to recruit a committed and resilient Behaviour Mentor. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping young people improve their behaviour, build positive relationships and succeed in a mainstream school environment. You will work closely with pupils who need additional support with behaviour, engagement and emotional regulation, helping them make positive choices and remain successful in lessons. Key Responsibilities Provide 1:1 and small group behaviour support to students across KS3 and KS4 Work with pupils at risk of exclusion or disengagement, offering targeted mentoring and guidance Support students in developing self-regulation, resilience and positive coping strategies Monitor and track behaviour, attendance and engagement data Carry out restorative conversations following incidents or sanctions Support staff with behaviour strategies and classroom interventions where needed Liaise with pastoral teams, SENCOs, teachers and parents/carers Maintain accurate records of interventions, outcomes and progress Promote a calm, safe and structured learning environment Requirements Experience working with young people in a school, youth work, pastoral or support setting Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills Calm, consistent and professional approach to challenging behaviour Excellent communication and relationship-building skills Understanding of mainstream secondary school behaviour systems and safeguarding procedures Ability to provide two satisfactory references Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) #J-18808-Ljbffr
