Responsibilities Develop and implement a diverse range of activities tailored to meet the physical, emotional, and social needs of our residents. Organise daily, weekly, and monthly events, including arts and crafts, music therapy, fitness classes, social gatherings, and outings. Encourage resident participation and foster a sense of community within the home. Collaborate with care staff to identify individual resident needs and preferences. Maintain accurate records of resident participation and progress. Coordinate with external entertainers, volunteers, and community groups to enhance the activities program. Ensure all activities are conducted in a safe and supportive environment. Promote the wellbeing of residents by fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere. Qualifications Previous experience in a similar role within a care home or community setting is highly desirable. A background in recreational therapy, social work, or a related field is advantageous. Strong organisational and time management skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Creativity and a passion for improving the lives of others. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to make a difference. Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations related to activities and events.
