Waking Night Support Worker

We are pleased to announce we have an exciting opportunity here at Potens for Waking Nights Support Worker.At Paxton House we support people between the ages of 18-35 with a range of needs including learning disabilities, behaviours that are perceived to be challenging, non‑verbal communication and/or autistic spectrum disorders. Paxton House is a modern, bright and well‑equipped working environment based in Borrowash, just outside Derby.What we’ll give you:£13.10 per hour.Waking nights 40 hours per week.9 pm to 7 am, 4 nights per week. You can complete your care certificate with us.Access to attractive and exclusive employee benefits including savings on shopping, leisure, and household expenses.A generous referral scheme.What you’ll be doing:Supporting individuals with their personal, physical, and emotional needs throughout the night.Completion of nightly duties, including domestic and administrative tasks.Undertaking training online and face to face where necessary.Personal care.Supporting one to one.Will involve lone working.Will require working weekends and bank holidays.Who you are:Shifts can change to suit the needs of the people we support, so flexibility is a must.The successful candidate will have the aptitude, desire, and commitment to work in social care with adults with a variety of needs.Flexible with a ‘can do’ attitude.Motivated and a team player.Experience working in a social care setting supporting adults with learning disabilities and autism is preferred, but not essential.Who we are:We are a national provider of health, social and education services with over 35 years’ experience.
