We have over 200 employees focused on delivering financial guidance and growth strategies.Department: AuditLocation: ManchesterThe RoleAs an Audit Assistant Manager, you will support the management and delivery of audit assignments from planning to completion, working closely with managers, senior managers, and directors. You will coordinate with clients, oversee audit tasks, and ensure high-quality work. You will also mentor and guide junior team members on engagements, provide constructive feedback, and contribute to efficient day-to-day audit operations.Key ResponsibilitiesLead on-site audits, implementing the agreed plan through to completion, coordinating on-site resources, and assigning tasks and timescales.Maintain audit quality, ensuring adherence to company practices and auditing standards.Review work of audit juniors and support their development.Prepare on-site audit findings reports, identify and document risks, and ensure issues are reviewed.Develop good client relationships and adapt communication to ensure client satisfaction.Coordinate across Cowgills services to enhance client experience when multiple services are involved.Support team members and other teams, sharing knowledge and getting involved as needed.Identify overlap opportunities and actions to maximise cross-team collaboration.Skills, Knowledge and ExpertiseQualified Accountant: ACCA/ACA or equivalentAudit Practice Experience: Proven experience in audit and accounts with understanding of quality and regulatory standardsRisk Awareness: Familiar with risk assessment and control measures within the audit processClient Interaction: Skilled in managing client relationshipsTeam Leadership: Ability to guide and support junior staffTechnical Knowledge: Up-to-date with accounting and auditing standards, including FRS and IFRSProblem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to identify issues and propose solutionsSoftware Proficiency: Experience with CaseWare and CCH is beneficial but not requiredBenefitsPositive and enjoyable cultureFlexible workingLife assurancePensionDevelopment and career growthAccess to counselling services and subsidised health benefitsSeniority levelAssociateEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionAccounting/Auditing and FinanceIndustries: Accounting #J-18808-Ljbffr
