Renowned for a collaborative culture and focus on professional development, the firm offers a supportive environment in modern city-centre offices.Job DescriptionThe successful Audit Assistant Manager will lead audits for small to large clients, prepare statutory accounts, supervise junior staff, and ensure compliance with relevant standards. You'll work closely with partners and clients, developing technical expertise while supporting the growth and quality standards of the firm.Key Responsibilities include:* Planning, executing, and finalising audit assignments* Leading, coaching, and reviewing the work of junior team members* Preparing statutory accounts and ensuring compliance with UK GAAP/IFRS* Building and maintaining strong client relationships* Identifying risk areas and ensuring high-quality reporting* Managing multiple workloads and meeting deadlinesThe Successful ApplicantA successful Audit Assistant Manager should have:* ACA/ACCA qualification (or close to completion)* 4-5 years' practical experience in audit within a practice environment* Strong understanding of audit procedures and financial reporting standards* Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills* Ability to lead teams, manage workloads, and communicate confidently with clients* Proactive, detail-oriented approach with strong interpersonal skillsWhat's on Offer* Competitive salary of £48,000+* 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, with the option to buy additional leave* Pension contributions matched up to 5%, plus enhanced options* Life assurance cover (with options to increase)* Annual discretionary bonus* Salary review and promotion pathways with two review cycles a year* Flexible benefits platform with lifestyle and health add-ons* Season ticket loan and cycle-to-work scheme* Modern, newly refurbished Manchester city centre offices* A supportive culture that prioritises work-life balance, training, and career progression
