Each home is designed to promote independence, offering personalised support that encourages people to live as independently as possible. Our services include assistance with daily living as well as opportunities to take part in a wide range of community-based and external activitiesWe have an exciting opportunity for Support Workers to join East Anglia Community Services supporting individuals in the Mildenhall area. You’ll be able to make a real difference to their day to day lives and provide a better quality of living.The rewarding impact you can make is by:Caring for vulnerable individuals in society and working closely alongside families and circles of support.Promoting and developing individuals daily living skills such as cooking and cleaning.Getting them involved and engaged in their local communities, attending social events, shopping, meals out or whatever they enjoy doing.Really get to know individuals by supporting and helping them to personalise their own home with the things they love and enjoy. Understand their interests and activities to help them feel engaged throughout the day with things such as arts and crafts, sensory activities & jigsaws (as examples)We are recruiting for two positions and will consider part-time and full-time hours ranging from 20 hours per week up to 40 hours per week. The hourly rate for these positions is £12.21.Your working pattern in this role will require flexibility to meet the needs of the people supported and their families and will include evening and weekend working.Possession of a driving licence (minimum one year) is preferredIdeally, you will have a background in supporting autistic people but if not, we have a fantastic training programme that will get you on your way to achieving a fulfilling job that will beat most out there. You may have a personal connection, a desire to work with or real-life experiences working with autistic people.
