THE ROLE
Looking for a challenge in one of the world's largest airfreight logistics organisation and a FTSE 100 company?

Become a vital part of a passionate team who are enabling the business to make critical business decisions using leading edge data analytics. Bring a new perspective on data and how it can be used to solve challenges across the organisation. Your output will be essential in enabling insight driven decision-making within the business.

The role involves managing a small team to deliver leading edge data exploitation, analysis and modelling. Your team will own a portfolio of reports, models and dashboards, provide analytical expertise and act as champions for data development needs. You will lead the team to deliver robust and reliable data and advanced analytical solutions for the business and maintain the quality of management information through continuous improvement.

The analytics lead should have a strong enthusiasm for problem solving and a passion for data. They will be expected to provide analytical expertise, seek to identify data gaps and proactively develop the data agenda in line with business priorities as well as challenge business leaders to become truly data driven. A positive thinker with plenty of curiosity would be ideal for this role.

Experience
Essential Experience
• Analysing complex issues, packaging findings and presenting effectively to stakeholders
• Managing databases and/or blending data
• Designing data for management information purposes
• Leading the direction of analytical projects
• Working knowledge of data engineering pipelines
• Hands on programming experience
• Visualising data and presenting trends and findings for broad audiences

Desirable Experience
• Creating and using numerical models and solving optimisation problems
• Tableau Certified
• Use of cloud-based data tooling e.g. AWS S3, Snowflake
• Working knowledge of Spanish
• Use of specific analytical tools: Tableau, SQL, Python, Business Objects
