Job Title: ACRO Assistant People Services Advisor Salary Range: £29,109 - £31,296 (pending 4.2% pay award) per annum pro rata Work Location: Near Fareham Hours per week: Flexible up to full time Contract Type: Permanent Closing date: Monday 8th December 2025 at 23:59 hours Interviews: Thursday 18th & Friday 19th December 2025 About the role We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join us as an Assistant People Services Advisor within a national policing unit. In this role you will support roughly 350 employees, providing first‑line generalist HR advice, coordinating recruitment campaigns, maintaining workforce statistics, and offering ad‑hoc project support. Teamwork and strong communication skills are essential, as is the ability to build positive working relationships. Responsibilities Provide first‑line generalist HR advice to managers and staff on policy, procedure and lower‑level casework. Co‑ordinate and quality‑check recruitment processes, including bulk recruitment campaigns and complex recruitment queries. Research, gather and publish workforce information, including regular statistics and support for ad‑hoc projects. Support the delivery of flexible working requests and discuss suitable working patterns during interview. Essential Qualifications Educated to QCF Level 2 (5 passes) or equivalent work experience. Experience of working in a customer‑focused HR environment, providing information and general advice. Excellent administration skills and experience of using IT systems/software to compile management information. What’s on offer?
