Job Title Programme Co‑ordinator (Band 4) Airedale NHS Foundation Trust Skipton Hospital, Airedale, Wharfedale and Craven. Job Overview This is a very exciting opportunity for an experienced Programme Co‑ordinator to support the development, implementation, continuous monitoring and improvement of the Active Together Programme. Airedale NHS Foundation Trust are working collaboratively with Yorkshire Cancer Research and Sheffield Hallam University to implement the Active Together model to individuals diagnosed with cancer across Airedale, Wharfedale and Craven. The programme will run alongside the existing diagnostic and treatment pathways to ensure patients are optimally prepared for treatment and beyond. It aims to maximise resilience to treatment, improve longer‑term health, minimise side effects and empower patients to be partners in their health care. Patients will receive individual assessments and be triaged into a support pathway suitable to their needs. We are a small and friendly team based at Skipton Hospital which includes Physiotherapists, a Dietitian and a Psychologist. Main duties of the job As programme co‑ordinator you will support the Therapy Manager in developing and delivering the service with key stakeholders across Airedale, Wharfedale and Craven focusing on data collection and reporting. The role also involves ensuring the smooth running of the appointment system and communicating effectively with team members and patients face‑to‑face or via telephone. The post holder must handle sensitive queries in writing, email, by telephone or in person from colleagues, patients, Trust employees and other health‑related organisations in an effective, sensitive manner as a representative of the Trust, to reflect a positive corporate image. Responsible for programme data collection and reports, working closely with the Active Together team, Sheffield Hallam University and Yorkshire Cancer Research to ensure project data is reported in line with the project outcomes. Assist in the production of project reports for all relevant project partners. Process and collate the Active Together data from NHS systems and key stakeholder systems delivering the programme. Develop and deliver project marketing plans and promote the service with partners. Relevant qualification or expert competence in use of IT systems such as Microsoft Office, e.g. ECDL/OCR. Desirable qualifications Project management qualification. Experience Experience of providing high quality administrative and secretarial support. Previous experience of interaction with patients and their representatives. Desirable experience Experience of project management / service improvement. Experience in service improvement such as audit, clinical developments, system improvements, benchmarking. Knowledge Able to apply knowledge of policies, procedures, and professional standards in practice. Knowledge of the NHS constitution. Skills Able to develop and maintain communication with people about difficult matters and in difficult situations. Able to produce high quality written information including formal reports, presentations and spreadsheets. Quality Improvement skills Able to maintain quality of own work and contribute to that of the service. Evidence of contributions to service improvements. Desirable quality improvement skills Experience of leading an improvement project. Personal attributes Self‑motivation and initiative. Organised and thorough. Other requirements Current UK Driving Licence. Access to own transport.
