Learning Support Assistant (Early Years Qualified) – KS1 team Specialist Education Setting – Chelmsford. Temp-to-Perm Opportunities Available. Full time, 5 days a week. We’re looking for dedicated LSAs to join our friendly and highly supportive KS1 team in our specialist provision in Chelmsford. About the Role As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping our pupils thrive—academically, socially, and emotionally. Working closely with experienced teachers and other professionals, you will provide tailored support to children with a range of special educational needs, helping to create a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment. Key Responsibilities Provide 1:1 and small group support within our KS1 classes Assist in delivering differentiated learning activities Support pupils with communication, emotional regulation, and sensory needs Help maintain a safe, stimulating, and nurturing classroom environment Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and support staff Engage positively with pupils, families, and the wider school team What We’re Looking For Early Years Practitioner qualification or Nursery Nurse qualification (essential) Experience working with children in Early Years, KS1, or SEN settings A patient, caring, and proactive approach Strong communication and teamwork skills A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs What We Offer Temp-to-perm contracts with the opportunity for long-term progression A warm, supportive, and collaborative school community Ongoing training and professional development The chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners If you’re enthusiastic, compassionate, and ready to contribute to a wonderful KS1 team, we would love to hear from you Apply now.
