Academic and Engagement (Representation) Coordinator This role is known internally as the Representation Coordinator at the University of Southampton Students' Union (SUSU). The successful candidate will be based in Southampton, UK. Responsibilities As a Representation Coordinator, you will: • Coordinate and support the Representation team, encouraging and empowering Student Officers, Academic Representatives and subject‑based societies.• Maintain and develop the Academic Representation structure, ensuring transparency and integrity of SUSU’s democratic processes.• Strengthen the student voice by identifying key issues and presenting them on behalf of SUSU to university stakeholders.• Engage in project development and management, delivery of training, and administer office functions within a student‑lead environment. Qualifications With the goal of a highly effective Representation Coordinator, you should: • Hold demonstrable knowledge of university academic structure and higher education processes (desirable but not essential).• Have experience in student representation or a specialist area of work that supports student representation.• Demonstrate project development & management, training delivery and advanced office administration skills.• Be able to thrive in a student‑lead environment of elected officers.• You can refer to the attached Role Profile for the complete Person Specification. Benefits Salary of £27,012 – £29,049 per annum 24 days paid holiday per year plus eight closure days (Easter, August & Christmas) plus an optional additional week of holiday. 10% pension contribution into a defined‑contributions scheme.
