Phlebotomist – Cheshire Phlebotomy Services The closing date for applications is 28 December 2025. Job base: MCHT Leighton Hospital. Support required on an occasional basis at Victoria Infirmary Northwich (VIN) and surrounding clinics, including Knutsford Community Hospital and Congleton War Memorial Hospital. Working hours: 37.5 hours per week (pro‑rated). Monday‑Friday scheduling, with two weekend shifts per month (8:00–14:00) that are compensated as off‑duty days. Hours may vary by day. Key shift times: Early morning start: 08:00 Standard start: 08:30 Ward cover start: 07:30 Lates: 12:30–20:00 Responsibilities: Collect venous blood samples for pathological analysis at multiple sites. Work independently and as part of a team, liaising with clinicians, laboratory staff, patients and their representatives. Adhere strictly to laboratory SOPs, Health & Safety and Quality policies when handling biological samples. Provide coverage at all service locations as required by business needs. Driving licence and vehicle: Applicants must possess a full UK driving licence, have use of a road‑worthy vehicle with business insurance, and be able to claim mileage expenses. Person Specification Full UK driving licence with use of car and insurance. Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship). Good general and physical health. Flexible approach to working across multiple venues. Disclosure and Barring Service Check This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975.
