Overview Learning Disability Nurse/Mental Health Nurse (RMN) – full‑time, 1 WTE (37.5 hrs/week) – East & South Cheshire Learning Disability Children and Young People Mental Health Service (CYPMH). Use specialist expertise and compassion to make a genuine impact on young lives, ensuring the highest quality care tailored to individual needs. Key Responsibilities Manage a defined clinical caseload of children and young people aged 0–18 with mild to moderate learning disabilities and challenging behaviours. Operate with professional autonomy while collaborating with the multidisciplinary 0–18 CYPMH team to deliver person‑centred, evidence‑based interventions. Provide consultation and guidance on Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), drawing on specialist knowledge. Act as a champion for SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities), promoting awareness and supporting an inclusive approach to care. Qualifications & Experience Registered Learning Disability Nurse or Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with experience supporting children and young people with learning disabilities. Experience in Positive Behaviour Support and working with challenging behaviours in a clinical setting. Knowledge of SEND and inclusive approaches to care.
