In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact in a supportive, collaborative environment.As the Regional Health and Safety Manager, you will lead the implementation of health and safety initiatives across the region, creating a culture of behavioural health and safety and ensuring the safety of colleagues, contractors, and customers in compliance with company standards and legal requirements. For a confidential chat, reach out to danny.colbert@arrowxl.co.uk— or apply todayWhat will the role involve?Develop, implement, and monitor health and safety policies, procedures, and practices in line with ArrowXL standards.Promote a safety‑first mindset and strong behavioural safety culture through training, communication, and leading by example.Ensure compliance with UK Health and Safety legislation by conducting audits, risk assessments, and thorough investigations of accidents and near‑misses.Recommend and implement risk‑mitigation solutions while applying best practices to improve safety performance, support operational efficiency, and reduce absence.Maintain accurate records of safety activities and incidents, ensuring timely reporting and preparing detailed reports for senior leadership.Act as a key point of contact for health and safety across Warehousing, Transport, and Central Support, working closely with hub managers and other Regional H&S Managers to ensure a consistent approach.Monitor safety metrics and use data to drive decision‑making, improve processes, and act on feedback to enhance team performance.Continuously develop your knowledge and skills to stay aligned with business priorities, minimising downtime and associated costs.What are we looking for in our Health and Safety Manager?Proven experience as an H&S Manager in a similar role, ideally within logistics or a fast‑paced, multi‑site environment.Strong knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislation and best practice, with experience delivering H&S training (e.g., COSHH, Fire Marshal, Accident Investigation, Chemical Spill Kit, Drug and Alcohol Testing).Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build credibility and collaborative relationships at all levels.Analytical mindset with strong problem‑solving capabilities, comfortable managing multiple priorities within a small team.Resilient and adaptable, with a focus on delivering results.NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) and Technical Member of IOSH; DGSA qualification desirable.Familiarity with safety auditing and certification systems (e.g., iAuditor, RoSPA) and knowledge of safety culture management tools is advantageous.What’s in it for you?
