Title Senior Specialist of Benefit Operations Location Chester, UK - Hybrid Client Leading Pharmaceutical Company Type 12 months contract - full-time Responsibilities Oversee end-to-end administration of employee benefits across assigned markets, ensuring accuracy and a positive user experience. Serve as the escalation point for complex benefits queries and effectively communicate plan provisions and policies. Document and update processes, work instructions, training materials, and knowledge articles. Implement new benefit designs, process changes, and continuous improvement initiatives. Manage daily benefits operations, including eligibility, enrolments, status changes, terminations, claims, invoicing, and vendor coordination. Lead annual enrolment cycles, maintaining activity calendars and working closely with system providers. Troubleshoot and resolve benefits-related issues raised by employees, HR, and external partners. Review and update employee-facing content, vendor platforms, and system-generated communications. Support compliance activities, audits, and risk identification, recommending corrective actions. Collaborate with strategy teams to operationalize and deliver broader benefits solutions. Identify opportunities to improve People Services systems and processes and support system changes and testing. Train HR team members on benefits processes and updates. Requirements Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience. Extensive experience in benefits administration. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Working knowledge of HR processes, employment laws, and benefits regulations for relevant regions. Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUPS, pivot tables) and Microsoft Office. Experience in multicultural, multi‑country environments and ability to collaborate across global teams. Clear communicator, able to simplify complex information for different audiences. Familiarity with HR shared services and systems such as Workday, ServiceNow, Darwin, and Ariel.
