About the role We are seeking experienced Technical Project Manager (TPM) with a strong managerial background and proven people management skills with technical background. This role blends technical leadership, project execution, and team management in a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment. Key Responsibilities People Management Manage a team of 4-6 ML / AI engineers, providing mentorship, career development, and performance evaluations, 1 : 1s. Project Management Oversee 4-5 concurrent engineering projects, project planning, documentation, stakeholder management, work with cross functional teams. Drive day-to-day task management, status updates, weekly reviews, and stand-up meetings. Contribute up to 20% - 10% hands-on coding, primarily in Python, to stay close to the technology and assist with complex problem-solving. Desired Experience Prior experience as a ML / AI Manager, Data Science Manager, AI tech lead, Senior ML Engineer, directly involved in designing, developing, and delivering AI / ML projects. Good technical background with familiarity in AI / ML and LLM toolkits, including : PyTorch, TensorFlow, LangChain, LLaMA, and related libraries. As a Technical Project Manager in our AI and LLM Services department, you will Lead cross-functional teams of engineers and machine learning practitioners to deliver impactful LLM and AI solutions for top-tier industry clients. Drive the full project lifecycle for advanced ML projects : from scoping and planning to deployment, ensuring successful, timely, and high-quality delivery. Translate complex business requirements into actionable technical plans and roadmaps tailored to machine learning and LLM-based initiatives. Oversee project progress, resource allocation, and milestone achievement, making data-driven adjustments and risk mitigations as needed. Facilitate solution design discussions and ensure technical feasibility of LLM / ML approaches, collaborating closely with research and product stakeholders. Proactively resolve blockers, manage team dependencies, and champion best engineering practices for scalable AI systems. Prepare and track project KPIs, ensuring a transparent view of status, risks, and deliverables to leadership and client stakeholders. Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement, working with other project managers to align on cross-team initiatives for LLM / ML excellence. Communicate technical ideas and project status clearly across engineering and non-technical leadership, tailoring detail as required. Required Qualifications Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Physics, Engineering, or a related field. 4+ years' experience delivering ML or data-driven software projects in industry, including planning, execution, and delivery. 2+ years' experience managing end-to-end engineering projects; experience specifically with LLMs or NLP projects is a strong plus. Hands-on familiarity with contemporary ML and software engineering tools (Python, git, Docker); comfortable discussing technical tradeoffs. Experience with agile / scrum methodologies in software or ML-focused teams. Good communication and stakeholder management abilities, including with non-technical audiences. Working proficiency in English; Spanish is a plus. Preferred Qualifications PhD in a relevant technical discipline. Experience directly managing LLM, NLP, or generative AI projects. Familiarity with cloud ML workflows (AWS, GCP, Azure). Exposure to quantum / quantum-inspired technologies or advanced model compression technique Perks & Benefits Indefinite contract.
