The Pathway Portfolio PMO at Barclays supports the delivery of some of the bank’s most significant regulatory and control remediation initiatives. This role is central to ensuring quality outcomes through independent oversight, continuous improvement, and high-quality reporting. The portfolio is reviewed weekly by the Group Executive Committee and regularly reported to senior governance bodies and regulators.Pathway is a Group-wide portfolio overseeing the delivery of some of the bank’s most significant regulatory and control remediation Change initiatives. It supports the successful delivery of quality outcomes through independent check and challenge and sharing of learnings and read across of Change delivery best practice. There is continued focus across Pathway on assurance, the closure and validation of regulatory and/or control issues, and the sustainability of delivered outcomes. Group Executive Committee reviews status weekly, including visibility of emerging trends to enable prompt support and intervention at senior levels. The team also provides regular updates on the Pathway portfolio to Monthly Business Reviews and to the Group Risk Committee, Group Controls Committee and Board Audit Committee as well as Regulators.To be successful as a Pathway Portfolio PMO, you should have:Precision in reporting and insight generation from complex data.Proactive mindset with a drive for continuous improvement.Experience enhancing PMO processes, including automation.Strong communication and stakeholder management up to Director level.Some other highly valued skills may include:PMO experience in regulatory/control remediation projects.Familiarity with AI-enabled automation tools.Understanding of Change Delivery Management policies and controls.You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.This role is based in Glasgow or Knutsford.Purpose of the roleTo support change delivery managers in the delivery of successful projects, while ensuring that project management processes and practices are aligned with controls and governance standards and that projects are aligned with the organisation's strategic objectives.AccountabilitiesSupport to change delivery managers, ensuring their programme is compliant with the Barclays Control Framework, including oversight of controls and governance standards.Creation and implementation of standardised PMO processes and methodologies that are aligned with controls and governance standards and that support the delivery of successful projects..Monitoring of project performance, including tracking of project progress, identification of risks assumptions, issues and dependencies, and creation of report on project status to senior management.Support of project documentation, including maintenance of project plans, schedules, and budgets, and ensuring that project documentation is up-to-date and accurate.Facilitation of project governance, including ensuring that projects are aligned with the organisation's strategic objectives, and that project risks assumptions, issues and dependencies are managed effectively.Provision of change management framework training to project managers and other stakeholders, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver successful projects..Continuous improvement of project management practices, including identification of areas for improvement and implementation of changes to improve project delivery.Assistant Vice President ExpectationsTo advise and influence decision making, contribute to policy development and take responsibility for operational effectiveness.
