SANZA Teaching Agency is working with a friendly, inclusive Secondary SEN school in Harrow seeking a Special Needs Teaching Assistant to start as soon as possible. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of secondary-aged students while gaining valuable experience in a supportive SEND setting. You’ll work with pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), including Autism (ASC) and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), helping them access learning, develop confidence, and achieve personal goals in a safe and nurturing environment. The role starts ASAP and will continue until the end of the academic year, with the potential for the role to continue after that. Key Responsibilities Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with a variety of SEN, including Autism and PMLD Assist with pupils' personal care, communication, and mobility needs where required Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to deliver tailored learning support Encourage student engagement, independence, and confidence Maintain a safe, inclusive, and inspiring learning environment The Ideal Candidate We are looking for a dedicated, patient, and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant who: Has experience supporting children or young people with SEN (particularly Autism and/or PMLD) Demonstrates empathy, patience, and resilience Can work independently and as part of a supportive team Communicates effectively with students, staff, and parents Is passionate about making a positive and lasting impact in the lives of students with additional needs Why Work with SANZA Teaching Agency?
