Quality Assurance Engineer (French), Alexa Global Quality Job ID: 3066188 | Amazon Development Centre (London) Limited Overview We are seeking a passionate, French-speaking Quality Assurance Engineer to join the Alexa Global Quality team, where you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of AI enabled voice-first experiences for Alexa customers worldwide. As a customer obsessed QAE, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to innovate and implement robust testing frameworks that validate Alexa's core functionalities and new features. Your work will directly impact how customers around the world interact with Alexa, ensuring that each interaction is natural, culturally appropriate, and delivers the high-quality experience our users expect. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, automation/coding skills, a deep understanding of quality assurance methodologies, and a passion for creating authentically-native experiences that delight users in their native language. Key job responsibilities Own the everyday product quality for your workstream Work with a team of Engineering and Product professionals to ensure the highest quality product is delivered against defined milestones Monitor production trends and take action to improve the customer experience Evaluate device and Alexa functionality, create and own test strategies that are highly-relevant to your customers that validate the quality for Alexa features and devices Develop and contribute automation and other quality tooling that improves test-efficiency across a global organization Raise, triage and bring to resolution of defects. Improve the everyday user experience for Alexa customers world-wide Communicate with a wide range of partners and stakeholders (engineering teams and product management) to report programme status, collect requirements, evaluate alternatives and develop processes and/or tools as needed to support the organization Use C1-C2 (advanced/proficient/native) French language skills to assist in French language-based products A day in the life QAEs at Amazon maintain and push the high bar for quality in our products and services. We work on the latest innovations in the space of Alexa devices and features. You take the time to deeply understand the complex technology that brings delightful experiences to our customers worldwide. You own quality campaigns, design and execute test strategies that prevent defects and bad customer experiences from reaching our customers. You advocate on behalf of our customers to improve the experience - no matter where they are or language they speak. About the team The Alexa Global Quality team takes on the unique challenge of internationalizing Alexa features and devices for our customers. We deeply understand the linguistic, cultural and technical nuances that enable Alexa to delight customers everyday in an authentically-native way, across different cultures, languages and locations. Basic Qualifications Experience developing high quality test plans, test designs, test strategies, and test execution Experience working closely with development and business teams to communicate problem impacts and to understand business requirements Experience scripting or coding Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems C1 or C2 level proficiency in speaking and writing French Preferred Qualifications Experience with Android, iOS or other mobile application development or testing Experience of using test case management tools (e.g. Test Rail, TestLink) and issue management tools (Jira) Experience as QA lead on medium to large sized projects Proficiency in additional European languages (German, Italian, Spanish, Dutch, etc.) Equal Opportunity Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
