With 220 million devices connected, over 560GW of renewable energy under management, and a community of over 500 customers including Microsoft, Starbucks, and HSBC, we’re helping leading businesses get the world to net zero—and what comes after it.SCADA/EMS EngineerLocation: UK (London / Remote) with around 50% travel to siteAbout UsWe’re looking for a SCADA/EMS Engineer who’s passionate about renewable energy and excited to deliver mission‑critical monitoring and control systems for cutting‑edge projects.What You’ll DoConfigure, deploy, and commission SCADA and EMS solutions for renewable energy projects (BESS, PV, Smart Grids, etc.).Deliver projects from design through commissioning and into operations.Lead on-site pre‑commissioning and commissioning activities, customer acceptance, and technical training.Integrate with system components such as firewalls, UPS, I/O devices, RTUs, and other hardware.Produce technical documentation including I/O Lists, Functional Design Specifications, and system architecture drawings, among others.Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and clients to ensure successful delivery.Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring confidence at every stage.What You BringDegree in Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience).Background in renewable energy, energy storage, or industrial control systems.Hands‑on experience with SCADA, EMS and similar control systems.Hands‑on experience with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, DNP3, IEC‑104).Knowledge of networks, servers, Linux‑based systems, and systems integration.Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills for complex technical challenges.Experience with industry standards, cybersecurity practices, or relevant certifications (desirable).Passion for sustainable energy and innovation.Who You AreHands‑on, resourceful, and proactive.A problem‑solver who thrives in dynamic environments.Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, can‑do attitude.Strong communicator, confident working with clients and cross‑functional teams.Why Join UsWork on pioneering renewable energy and energy storage projects.Be part of a mission‑driven team making real‑world impact.Opportunities for career progression, continuous learning, and international exposure.Competitive compensation and benefits package.Univers is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
