Location: Bolton Salary: up to £50,000 An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join a forward-thinking manufacturing business specialising in bespoke solutions for the packaging and production sector. This is a hands‑on role where you will be involved in the complete design process from concept through to production, creating innovative, efficient, and cost-effective mechanical designs that deliver real results. Responsibilities Design and develop mechanical components and systems using 3D CAD (Autodesk Inventor preferred) Produce detailed technical drawings and specifications Collaborate with production and project teams to ensure smooth project delivery Identify and resolve design challenges with practical solutions Manage design projects independently while contributing effectively within a team environment Requirements Proven experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer Proficiency in CAD design (preferably Autodesk Inventor) Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills Ability to manage projects from concept to completion Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Self‑motivated, with a proactive and professional approach Desirable Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials Experience working with conveyors, machinery, or food/beverage packaging equipment Background in a small to medium‑sized engineering environment Benefits Competitive salary (negotiable based on experience) 30 days holiday (including bank holidays and Christmas shutdown) Pension scheme Monday to Friday working hours (with early finish Fridays currently being trialled) Supportive and collaborative team culture Opportunities for continued professional development If you are a skilled Design Engineer looking for a rewarding role within an established and growing business, please apply with your CV and examples of your work or portfolio. #J-18808-Ljbffr
