COS Assistant Buyer

Job Title: COS Assistant Buyer – Menswear Location: Head Office, London (Full-time, Permanent) Job Overview As an Assistant Buyer on menswear you will support the execution of product development, ensuring maximised sales and profitability. You will have a clear understanding of COS aesthetics and customer needs, helping secure customer and brand requirements on orders regarding time, price, quality and quantity. With efficient component and product development you contribute to meaningful growth and profitability within the department. You will collaborate with the Buying, Pattern, Design, Production, Material and Supply Chain teams. What You Will Do Review and analyse the department's product, assortment and sales, considering actions based on business needs and current sales figures. Support maximisation of department sales and profitability by maintaining timelines before and after order replacements. Monitor and react to how department customers are affected by trends and their surroundings. Drive the day‑to‑day organisation within your team. Manage the post‑flow to and from recipients. Conduct regular competitor analyses and provide insights, ensuring we offer customers great value for money. Communicate with the production office, follow up on order placements and meet deadlines. Support product development from start to finish in close collaboration with the buying team. Prepare and assist fittings, organise agenda, supply samples at the right place, time and quantity. Handle samples, oversee and maintain the wardrobe, keeping all samples neat and tidy. Raise orders and update them; ensure call‑off, supplier and trailing quantity moves happen as required. Quantify all articles and products per region with the global strategy in mind. Qualifications Alignment to our company values is the most important characteristic we look for in all new joiners. In addition to our values for this role we are also looking for: Previous experience as Senior Buying Assistant or Assistant Buyer in menswear. Product Development knowledge working with an in‑house design team. Strategic and analytical skills, proficient use of Excel. Strong team player with excellent communication skills. Genuine passion for the COS brand and our menswear customer needs. Excellent organisational skills, ability to multitask and meet strict deadlines.
