OverviewWe are seeking a confident, compassionate, and proactive Behaviour Mentor to support pupils in a vibrant and inclusive primary school located in East London. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children who may face behavioural or emotional challenges within the classroom.Working closely with the SENCO, teaching staff, and pastoral team, you will support pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis to help them regulate their emotions, develop positive behaviour strategies, and fully engage with learning.ResponsibilitiesProvide tailored support to pupils with behavioural and social/emotional needsImplement behaviour intervention strategies under the guidance of school staffBuild strong, trusting relationships with pupils, staff, and parentsMonitor pupil progress and provide regular feedback to the class teacher/SENCOAct as a positive role model, promoting respect, inclusion, and resilienceSupport pupils both inside and outside of the classroom environmentRequirementsExperience supporting children with challenging behaviour or SEMH needsA calm, resilient, and empathetic approachStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and external agenciesAn understanding of safeguarding and behaviour management strategiesA valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)The School OffersA supportive and collaborative team environmentOngoing training and CPD opportunitiesA commitment to student well-being and personal developmentWell-structured behaviour policies and pastoral support systemsExcellent public transport links across East LondonHow to ApplyIf you are passionate about making a difference in children s lives and have the experience and skills to support behaviour positively, we would love to hear from you.
