Learning Mentor Primary Key Stages 1 & 2 January 2026 Start - Apply Now Are you passionate about helping children reach their full potential, both academically and personally? We're looking for a dedicated and flexible Learning Mentor to join our inclusive primary school team, working across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 commencing from January 2026. The ideal candidate will be approachable, reliable, and genuinely committed to supporting pupils who may need extra guidance, whether that's with learning, behaviour, or emotional well-being. You'll play a vital role in ensuring every child feels valued, motivated, and capable of success. Key Responsibilities of this Learning Mentor role: Support children across different year groups with learning, social and emotional needs. Build positive relationships with pupils to encourage confidence, engagement and resilience. Work alongside class teachers and SEN staff to implement effective strategies for individual pupils. Help maintain a calm, nurturing and focused learning environment. Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, parents, and external agencies. Be adaptable to changing priorities and pupil needs throughout the school day. What We're Looking For in a Learning Mentor: A punctual, proactive, and compassionate team member with a genuine passion for children's development. Someone who is flexible, patient, and realistic, able to handle challenges with calmness and good humour. A confident communicator who can build trust and rapport with pupils and colleagues alike. Previous experience in a school or youth support setting is desirable but not essential but a strong general knowledge of core subjects like, English and Maths is essential.
